US Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 8, 2024

This Privacy Policy describes how Acrisure, LLC and its affiliates (collectively, “Acrisure,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your personal information that we collect in connection with providing a variety of products and services (collectively, the “Services”). This policy applies when you interact with us by visiting Acrisure’s website; participate in our events, promotions, offerings, or partner activities; or interact with us in response to our marketing or other outreach.

While we believe this entire policy is important, and we recommend you read all of it, we want to highlight a few points:
  • What personal information do we collect? We collect the following categories of personal information: identifiers, customer records, protected characteristics, commercial information, internet or other network activity, geolocation data, inferences, and sensitive personal information. You can find more details about these categories below.
  • How do we use personal information? We use personal information to provide the Services, communicate with individuals, operate our websites, conduct marketing and promotions, perform core business functions, prevent malicious activity, comply with legal obligations, carryout corporate reorganization, exercise legal rights, and other purposes to which you consent.
  • How long do we keep personal information? We retain personal information about you in accordance with our Records Management Policy and applicable laws. The specific periods for which we keep information about you vary depending on the nature of the information, why we need it, and whether the personal information is de-identified. We also consider the minimum necessary retention period prescribed by applicable laws, recommended by industry standards, and stated in contracts and other legal obligations.
  • Do we sell or share personal information? We disclose (or make available) some of your Internet or Other Network Activity on our website (explained below) and Geolocation Data (explained below) to third parties who help us provide more relevant advertising or collect analytic information we use to improve the website. Some states consider this to be us “selling” your personal information because we get something of value—such as insights into user activity and the opportunity to provide more relevant advertising—or using it for targeted advertising (a concept called “sharing” in California). However, we do not disclose any of your personal information to third parties for money, and we never sell or share information collected in connection with your policy.
  • How do we protect personal information? We use technical, physical, and administrative safeguards designed to protect your personal information.

WHEN (AND TO WHOM) DO WE DISCLOSE PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We may disclose all the personal information we collect about you to one or more of the following categories of recipients:

  • Acrisure Corporate Family. We may disclose your personal information with others in our corporate family, including our affiliates (e.g., parent company, and other companies under common control) and joint ventures.
  • Advertising, Marketing and Analytics Partners. We may disclose personal information to advertising, analytics, and marketing partners—often through pixels, cookies, or similar tools on our websites. For example, we use Google Analytics, which involves disclosing details to Google, so we can understand user activity on our websites and build on those insights to improve the user experience. You can find more information about Google Analytics by visiting www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners.
  • Companies Providing Requested Services. We offer services on our websites that are provided by companies other than Acrisure. If you select or purchase one of those services, we will provide that company with your relevant personal information.
  • Vendors. We disclose information to our vendors (which are called “service providers” or “contractors” in California) as necessary for them to provide services to us, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data protection terms, such as website hosting, data analytics, technical support, and payment processing.

We may also disclose personal information to others as we believe necessary or appropriate to: (a) satisfy any applicable law, legal process, or proper governmental request; (b) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues; (c) protect against harm to the rights, property, or safety of Acrisure, our users, or the public; and (d) establish or exercise our rights, defend against a legal claim, and address possible illegal activities or violations of our policies. Additionally, we may provide your information to others with your consent or in connection with a corporate reorganization—such as a merger, acquisition, or joint venture.

DO WE SELL OR USE PERSONAL INFORMATION FOR TARGETED ADVERTISING?

We do not disclose any of your personal information to third parties for money, and we never sell or use for targeted advertising (a concept California calls “sharing”) information we collected in connection with your policy.

In the last 12 months, we disclosed (or made available) to our marketing and analytics partners the following categories of personal information: identifiers (such as an IP address and device identifiers) and Internet or Other Network Activity (as explained above). Some states consider this to be us “selling” your personal information because we get something of value—such as insights into user activity and the opportunity to provide more relevant advertising—or using it for targeted advertising. We do not have actual knowledge that we sold or used for targeted advertising personal information on anyone under 16 years old.

If you do not want us to sell such personal information or use it for targeted advertising, you have options. You can (1) send us a request to opt out of that processing, as described below; or (2) configure your browser to send the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) signal, which tells us you do not want us to sell or use your information for targeted advertising. We currently respond to the GPC signal only for the browser sending it. So, if you later access our websites from a different browser that is not sending the signal, your opt-out preference will not carry over. When you send a GPC signal, we automatically process it in a frictionless manner. In other words, we will not charge you for using it, change your experience with our services, or display pop-ups or other notifications in response to your opt-out signal (except we may display some indicator acknowledging your request).

We do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.

HOW CAN I EXERCISE CONTROL OVER MY PERSONAL INFORMATION?

You can opt-out of promotional mailings from us by emailing us—using the contact information below—with “NO SNAIL MAIL” in the subject line. You may continue to receive letters from us while we process your request. Please include your name, address, and zip code in the body of the email. You can also opt out of our text messages (by responding “STOP”) and promotional emails (by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link in the email).

When required by applicable laws, you can request that we (1) provide you access to (or a copy of) your personal information—including details about our sources, uses, and applicable disclosures; (2) correct your personal information; or (3) delete your personal information. You can also request that we do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising based on your activity on Acrisure and non-Acrisure websites (a concept California calls “sharing”).

We will not discriminate against you for making a request. You can submit a request by using the Data Subject Privacy Requests portal, calling us at 877-504-9487, or sending us an email at [email protected]. You can also have an agent submit a request on your behalf. To do so, your agent must follow the process noted above, and you must provide us a completed Authorized Agent Designation Form. Additionally, if you are requesting to opt out of sales or targeted advertising, you can also make that request by (1) sending a GPC signal or (2) clicking on the “Your Privacy Choices” link at the bottom of our websites and toggling off targeting cookies.

Unless you are requesting to opt out of sales or targeted advertising, we need to verify your identify before we honor your request. We do this by comparing our records against the information we may request you provide as part of your request (such as name, residency, contact information, and relationship with us).

We honor each request as required by applicable laws. If we are unable to fulfill your request, we will explain our decision and whether you can file an appeal. When an appeal is available, you can file it by emailing [email protected] with the subject line “Consumer Privacy Appeal.” In that email, you must identify yourself, state the decision you are appealing, and explain how you believe we erred in our original decision.

  • The following categories of personal information disclosed are considered “sale”/ “sharing” under California law: direct identifiers, device information, and geolocation data.
  • The following categories of third parties to whom personal information was disclosed are considered “sale”/ “sharing” under California law: social media platforms and networks.
